Lynyrd Skynyrd – 1991 marked the band’s return with Ed King, who rejoined as guitarist for the first time since the 1970s. The album blends the band’s signature Southern rock sound with a slightly more modern sound from the early 1990s.
Featuring “Smokestack Lightning,” “Keeping The Faith,” “Southern Women,” “Good Thing,” and “End Of The Road,” the album contains eleven tracks. In addition to Ed King and Gary Rossington, the album features Johnny Van Zant, Leon Wilkeson, and Billy Powell, among others. The album was produced by Tom Dowd.
The original European LP from 1991 offered here was released by Atlantic under catalog number 7567-82258-1. This pressing is one of the early vinyl editions of the album and is of interest to collectors of Lynyrd Skynyrd and Southern rock.
